When Infinity War ended many people came out and blamed Starlord for the victory of Thanos, because he punched Thanos when the latter said he had killed Gamora. Hence leading our heroes to fail in their quest to rid Thanos of his gauntlet.

But there were many heroes who could've been blamed for Thanos’ win in Infinity War. Starlord was heartbroken to find out another person he loved, not to mention, the love of his life was murdered. Yes, he still had his friend but his anger and momentary loss of judgement was justified.
